Children’s Writing

Leigh Attaway Wilcox has several original manuscripts for children in the works and many more completed projects she is currently marketing. While the children’s picture book market is one of the most difficult to break into, Wilcox chooses to market and sell her own work with plans to learn as much as possible about the industry with each step along the way. She also entertains offers for work-for-hire projects in the children’s book market and enjoys the challenges offered by working to assigned specifications and deadlines.

Wilcox’s first published book, ALL BETTER: A Touch-and-Heal Book, published by Piggy Toes Press in October 2007 is an inviting and fun novelty-element book for young readers and listeners. The book encourages even the smallest hands to engage to “make it all better” with the provided Velcro bandages.
